Precautions in using the dust extraction shanks
- When the dust collector is not in use, lock the dust extraction holder or take other actions to prevent the holder from turning freely.
(Caution)
If the dust extraction holder turns freely, the rubber plug in the inlet port may come off. - The dust extraction cover is made a little longer than required. Cut the cover to the length of cutters to be used, at its concave part by the use of a cutter knife or other means.
- The dust extraction cover can be detached. If the cover is soiled, which makes it difficult to do your work, detach and clean it. When the dust extraction cover hinders you from changing the cutter, center drill, or center pin, detach the cover.
- The inlet port is fitted with a rubber plug before shipment. Detach the plug before using the cleaner.
- The inlet ports of the dust extraction holder and dust extraction shank have an outside diameter of 1-3/32" (28mm).
* If the size of the inlet port does not match that of the cleaner’s port, attach the supplied “dust collecting hose adapter” to the inlet port.
